The asado ceremony at TVL

By Guille Etchebarne, Lodge Manager

The tender and tasty Argentinean grilled meat -from cattle or sheep grass fed in our ranch- is one of the authentic Patagonian traditions that we share each season with our guests.

In the countryside, sharing an asado -barbacue- is a synonym of welcoming and hospitality. An asado is not just a meal, it is a whole ceremony.
While the meat is slowly grilled we appreciate the magnificent Patagonian landscape that surrounds us. A guitar strums in the background by the fire while we savour a rich Argentine wine with our typical empanadas. This cultural ritual invites us to share songs and interesting fishing stories, so by the time we sit at the table, we have already become friends.
